Eminent historian & writer Professor Muntassir Mamoon & High Commissioner of India Shri Vikram K. Doraiswami graced the occasion & launched a monograph on Rokeya Sultana’s works produced by Bengal Foundation in close collaboration with the artist. The exhibition, curated and arranged by the Bengal Foundation, traces the artist's fascinating trajectory from her years as student in Shantiniketan where she obtained her Masters degree in Fine Arts under an ICCR scholarship to the flowering of her artistic career in Bangladesh. This exhibition is a curtain raiser for the 1st standalone show of artworks of Rokeya Sultana in India which will open on 23 October 2021 in New Delhi’s prestigious Lalit Kala Academy. The exhibition will also travel to Kolkata in December 2021.
