Commemorated International Day of Non-Violence & 152nd Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at GandhiAshram Noakhali today H.E. Anisul Huq, Law Minister, H.E. Dr. AK. Abdul Momen, Foreign Minister & HC Vikram Kumar Doraiswami graced the occasion. Dignitaries inaugurated the newly renovated Gandhi Memorial Museum. Asaduzzaman Noor MP, Aroma Dutta MP & UN representatives were also present. As part of AzadiKaAmritMahotsav celebrations, a discussion was also held on ‘Ahimsa, Satyagraha & Mahatma - revisited’. Bapu’s life was his message. HC Vikram Kumar Doraiswami threw light on Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals & said Bapu’s message still holds relevance today. He highlighted historic importance of Noakhali & how Gandhi ji brought peace in the region though his principles of Ahimsa & Satyagraha. Artists from the Spandan Cultural Center, Dhaka dazzled the stage with a special dance-drama performance based on Rabindranath Tagore’s Chandalika.
