British Deputy High Commissioner Nick Low met with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati

British Deputy High Commissioner posted in Kolkata, Nick Low met with Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Monday to address a variety of collaborative subjects. Taking to Twitter on Monday, Chief Minister Sarma, wrote, "Happy to have met HE Mr @NickDLow, British Deputy High Commissioner, in Guwahati today." "We discussed scope of joining hands, especially in preparing a collaborative roadmap for green energy, health infrastructure & digitisation of healthcare facilities, etc," added the chief minister. He further added, "Also discussed conservation measures in Kaziranga and preservation of our cultural heritage. The envoy hailed our Covid management and expressed concern over #AssamFlood. Ms Katy Budge, Minister Counsellor, Political & Press, British High Commission, New Delhi was present." In response, British Deputy High Commissioner Nick Low replied, "Ah! But not as happy as I was to meet you, sir! Thank you for being so generous with your time and wisdom. I look forward to working with you to bring the benefits of what our Prime Ministers call the "New Era" of relations between our great countries to the people of Assam." Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the official account of the British Deputy High Commission Kolkata tweeted, "@UKinKolkata thanks @himantabiswa @CMOfficeAssam for his graciousness and insights which will help further the goals of the UK-India Roadmap 2030.
