Indian Coast Guard Ship Varad, on 23 Aug, handed over 32 Bangladeshi fishermen who were rescued from sea on 19 and 20 Aug after their boats sank in rough weather,to Bangladesh Coast Guard Ship Tajuddin. The fishermen were provided food, water and medical aid by the Indian Coast Guard. Both Coast Guards work closely together as partners for search and rescue regularly for the benefit of maritime communities of both countries. — with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
