Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata celebrated the Great Independence and the National Day on 26 March 2024 by organizing a host of programs. The programme began with the National Flag raising followed by laying floral wreath at the bust of ‘Mujib Chiranjib’ at the Mission. A documentary marking this occasion was screened which was followed by reading out messages by the Hon’ble President, the Hon’ble Prime Minister and Hon’ble Foreign Minister. Hon’ble Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh in Kolkata in his remarks highlighted the exemplary leadership of Bangabandhu in achieving the independence of Bangladesh. He further talked about the progress and development of Bangladesh under the able leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina highlighting the honour and recognition Bangladesh has achieved as a global leader.
