High Commissioner Pranay Verma and Private Industry & Investment Adviser of Bangladesh Prime Minister, Mr. Salman Fazlur Rahman, MP, jointly inaugurated a new plant of India’s leading pharmaceutical company, Sun Pharma, at Meghna Industrial Economic Zone on 25 May 2024. This is the company’s second investment in Bangladesh with a production capacity of over 1 billion tablets and capsules per year. Speaking at the ceremony, High Commissioner stressed that the new investment is reflective of India’s growing partnership in Bangladesh’s growth story, and not only strengthens bilateral economic ties but also marks another step towards establishing stronger supply chain and value chain linkages between our two economies.
