High Commissioner Pranay Verma met H.E. Mr. Adilur Rahman Khan, Adviser, Ministry of Industries, Government of Bangladesh on 15 October 2024. They discussed possible areas of collaboration including development of micro, small and medium enterprises that has the potential to benefit small businesses and generate sustainable employment. They also discussed potential areas of cooperation in food processing and fertilisers that can benefit farmers including through application of nano-fertilisers where India has made significant progress. High Commissioner also suggested for early conclusion of an understanding on harmonisation and mutual recognition of each other’s standards that will greatly facilitate businesses on both sides and enhance bilateral trade.
