High Commissioner Pranay Verma had a courtesy meeting with the Minister of Commerce, Industries, Textiles & Jute, H.E. Mr. Khandaker Abdul Muktadir on 2 March 2026 and held wide-ranging discussions on the India-Bangladesh trade and commercial partnership. Minister of State H.E. Mr. Md. Shariful Alam was also present. High Commissioner underscored the deep-rooted and enduring nature of economic ties between India and Bangladesh. The discussions explored ways to promote bilateral trade and investments relations and potential collaboration in emerging areas such as Digital Commerce and Artificial Intelligence.
