High Commission of India in Dhaka hosted a send-off ceremony for the ICCR scholars from Bangladesh proceeding to India for higher studies under the ICCR Scholarship Programme. 541 students from Bangladesh have been awarded ICCR scholarships this year to study in various institutions across India.

Addressing the scholars, High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi reiterated the importance India attaches to supporting education and human resource development in Bangladesh through academic partnerships and scholarships. He encouraged the scholars to serve as ambassadors of Bangladesh in India and further strengthen the enduring people-to-people ties between the two countries. The event also featured vibrant cultural performances by the scholars.

ঢাকাস্থ ভারতীয় হাই কমিশন আইসিসিআর বৃত্তি কর্মসূচির অধীনে উচ্চশিক্ষা অর্জনের লক্ষ্যে বাংলাদেশ থেকে ভারতে গমনরত আইসিসিআর বৃত্তিপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীগণের জন্য একটি বিদায় অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করে। এ বছর বাংলাদেশ থেকে ৫৪১ জন শিক্ষার্থীকে ভারতের বিভিন্ন প্রতিষ্ঠানে অধ্যয়ন করার জন্য আইসিসিআর বৃত্তি প্রদান করা হয়েছে।

বৃত্তিপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীগণের উদ্দেশ্যে বক্তব্য প্রদানকালে হাই কমিশনার দিনেশ ত্রিবেদী একাডেমিক অংশীদারিত্ব ও বৃত্তির মাধ্যমে বাংলাদেশে শিক্ষা ও মানবসম্পদ উন্নয়নে সহায়তা করার ক্ষেত্রে ভারতের গুরুত্ব প্রদান করার বিষয়টি পুনর্ব্যক্ত করেন। তিনি বৃত্তিপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীগণকে ভারতে বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্রদূত হিসেবে কাজ করার জন্য এবং দুই দেশের জনগণের মধ্যে বিদ্যমান চিরস্থায়ী সম্পর্ককে আরও সুদৃঢ় করতে উৎসাহিত করেন। এই অনুষ্ঠানে বৃত্তিপ্রাপ্ত শিক্ষার্থীগণ কর্তৃক পরিবেশিত প্রাণবন্ত সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশনাও অন্তর্ভুক্ত ছিল।
