High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi paid a courtesy call on the Hon’ble Minister of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources of Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Iqbal Hassan Mahmood, and exchanged views on further strengthening India–Bangladesh cooperation in the power and energy sectors. Hon’ble Minister of State, H.E. Mr. Anindya Islam Amit, was also present during the meeting.

The discussion focused on the importance of cross-border power and energy connectivity as a key pillar of India–Bangladesh economic partnership. Both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing cooperation based on mutual interest and mutual benefit, with a view to enhancing energy security, promoting sustainable development, and supporting the prosperity of the people of both countries.

এই আলোচনায় ভারত-বাংলাদেশ অর্থনৈতিক অংশীদারিত্বের একটি মূল স্তম্ভ হিসেবে আন্তঃসীমান্ত বিদ্যুৎ ও জ্বালানি সংযোগের গুরুত্বের ওপর আলোকপাত করা হয়। উভয় পক্ষই জ্বালানি নিরাপত্তা বৃদ্ধিকরণ, টেকসই উন্নয়নকে উৎসাহিত করা এবং উভয় দেশের জনগণের সমৃদ্ধিকে সমর্থন করার লক্ষ্যে পারস্পরিক আগ্রহ ও পারস্পরিক কল্যাণের ওপর ভিত্তি করে সহযোগিতাকে এগিয়ে নিয়ে যাওয়ার ব্যাপারে তাদের যৌথ অঙ্গীকার পুনর্ব্যক্ত করে।
