The High Commission of India in Dhaka hosted a Business Reception on 18 August 2026, bringing together the visiting delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and leading members of the business community in Bangladesh for meaningful interactions aimed at advancing bilateral economic and commercial cooperation and fostering stronger business-to-business linkages between India and Bangladesh.

High Commissioner Mr. Dinesh Trivedi highlighted the shared aspirations of the youth and the development goals of both countries. He underscored the important role of businesses in translating these aspirations into opportunities, building enduring partnerships and fostering long-lasting ties between India and Bangladesh.

Hon’ble State Minister for Foreign Affairs Ms. Shama Obaed Islam graced the occasion and delivered the keynote speech. CII Director General, Mr. Chandrajit Banerjee also addressed the gathering.

হাই কমিশনার শ্রী দিনেশ ত্রিবেদী যুবসমাজের অভিন্ন আকাঙ্ক্ষাসমূহ ও উভয় দেশের উন্নয়ন-বিষয়ক লক্ষ্যসমূহের ওপর বিশেষভাবে আলোকপাত করেন। তিনি এই আকাঙ্ক্ষাসমূহকে সুযোগে রূপান্তরিত করার ক্ষেত্রে, টেকসই অংশীদারিত্ব গড়ে তুলতে এবং ভারত ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে দীর্ঘস্থায়ী সম্পর্ককে সুদৃঢ় করার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবসায়িক প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর তাৎপর্যপূর্ণ ভূমিকার ওপর গুরুত্বারোপ করেন।

মাননীয় পররাষ্ট্র প্রতিমন্ত্রী শামা ওবায়েদ ইসলাম এই অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত থেকে মূল বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন। সিআইআই-এর মহাপরিচালক শ্রী চন্দ্রজিৎ ব্যানার্জীও এই আয়োজনে বক্তব্য প্রদান করেন।
