High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi held a courtesy meeting with the Minister of Commerce, Industries, Textiles & Jute of Bangladesh, H.E. Mr. Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, on 24 August 2026. Discussions on various aspects of bilateral economic and commercial cooperation between India and Bangladesh was held.

High Commissioner emphasized the important role of businesses and the private sector in steering the economic partnership for mutually beneficial trade and investment. A broad gamut of issues of mutual interest and mutual benefit was also discussed.

The discussions also highlighted the importance of strong people-to-people ties as an enduring foundation of India-Bangladesh relations, and the need to further deepen connections between the business communities, professionals and people of the two countries.

হাই কমিশনার শ্রী দিনেশ ত্রিবেদী ২৪ আগস্ট ২০২৬-এ বাংলাদেশের মাননীয় বাণিজ্য, শিল্প, বস্ত্র ও পাট মন্ত্রী জনাব খন্দকার আব্দুল মুক্তাদিরের সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেন। এই বৈঠকে ভারত ও বাংলাদেশের মধ্যে দ্বিপাক্ষিক অর্থনৈতিক ও বাণিজ্যিক সহযোগিতার বিভিন্ন দিক নিয়ে আলোচনা অনুষ্ঠিত হয়।

হাই কমিশনার দ্বিপাক্ষিকভাবে লাভজনক বাণিজ্য ও বিনিয়োগের লক্ষ্যে অর্থনৈতিক অংশীদারিত্বকে পরিচালনা করার ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবসায় প্রতিষ্ঠান ও বেসরকারি খাতের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকার ওপর বিশেষভাবে জোর দেন। পারস্পরিক আগ্রহ ও পারস্পরিক কল্যাণসংশ্লিষ্ট বিস্তৃত বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়েও আলোচনা হয়।

এই আলোচনায় ভারত-বাংলাদেশ সম্পর্কের স্থায়ী ভিত্তি হিসেবে জনগণের মধ্যে সুদৃঢ় বন্ধন, এবং দুই দেশের ব্যবসায়ী সম্প্রদায়, পেশাজীবী ও সাধারণ মানুষের মধ্যে সংযোগ আরও গভীর করার প্রয়োজনীয়তার ওপরও আলোকপাত করা হয়।
