In run up to MaitriDiwas, BBKPS & High Commission of India, Dhaka organised a seminar on “Buddhism & Buddhist heritage of India & Bangladesh" today. MoS Religious Affairs Md. Faridul Haque Khan MP along with High Commissioner of India Shri Vikram K. Doraiswami, Mr. Saber Hossain Chowdhury MP & Secretary AL Barrister Biplab Barua graced the occasion. High Commissioner of India Shri Vikram K. Doraiswami highlighted how Buddhism & its teachings forms a part of the rich tradition & shared cultural heritage of India & Bangladesh. He also reiterated that the two countries share common bonds of history, language & culture that was forged in the Liberation War of Bangladesh.
