In recognition of MaitriDiwas, each year, both Government of India and Government of Bangladesh commemorate the invaluable contribution of valiant Muktijoddhas in the journey towards the Liberation of Bangladesh. This year, in the run up to MaitriDiwas 2021, a Maitri Week was celebrated. On the eve of MaitriDiwas, a get together of Bir Muktijoddhas was organized at IGCC High Commission of India, Dhaka on 5 December 2021. They recalled the road to Liberation in 1971 & Victory Day. They recounted stories of the struggle of people of Flag of Bangladesh & shared sacrifice of Indian armed forces.
