High Commissioner of India, Mr. Vikram Doraiswami visited Kushtia in the evening of February 26, 2022 and handed over one Life-Support Ambulance to Rotary Club of Kushtia. Rotarian Kamruzaman, President of Rotary Club received the ambulance in the presence of Hon'ble Members of Parliament from Kushtia, Mr. Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Mr. AKM Sarwar Jahan Badsha and Barrister Selim Altaf George. The brand new Ambulance, fitted with modern, critical life-saving equipment, can be used by paramedics and first responders to provide quality emergency care and trauma life support to patients en-route to hospital for treatment. This Ambulance is a part of the overall programme for supply of 109 Life Support Ambulances, as announced by Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi during his State Visit to Bangladesh in March 2021.
